As Co-Chair of Unidos, an AMA employee resource group focused on Latin and Hispanic communities, I help create opportunities for connection, learning, and cultural engagement across the organization.

• Partner with ERG leaders and internal stakeholders to plan programs, panels, and cultural events that foster belonging and cross-cultural connection.
• Develop event concepts, communications, promotional materials, and programming in collaboration with members and partner ERGs.
• Help shape conversations around identity, culture, heritage, and lived experience in the workplace.
• Collaborate across teams to create inclusive programming that engages employees beyond the Unidos community.

Organizer| 2024 –Present

I support the Chicago chapter of Video Consortium, a community organization connecting and supporting nonfiction filmmakers and video journalists through community building, professional development, and production.

• Coordinate and support community events and professional development opportunities for nonfiction filmmakers and video journalists.
• Cultivate relationships among filmmakers, journalists, media professionals, and creative community members while supporting outreach and engagement efforts.
• Help develop conversations and events that connect members around journalism, visual storytelling, and the evolving media landscape.

Volunteer | 2024 – 2025

Volunteered with Advocate Health, supporting patients and families during their healthcare experiences and helping create a welcoming, supportive environment. The experience strengthened my appreciation for compassionate communication, active listening, and meeting people where they are, skills that continue to shape how I approach communications and community engagement.
